Barry Hite

Writer. Comedian. Friend to Animals.

Barry lives in Los Angeles.  He is a senior writer for the Second City Network.  His short, ToyBox Theater - a combination of puppetry, live action & animation - was selected for the 2015 Los Angeles Film Festival. He served as a staff writer for Tough Season 2 - Onion Labs’ Fantasy Football–based web series. He also wrote and produced the web series Get Swole - a multiple award winner at the 2015 LAWebFest.

Previously, Barry was a head writer on the web series – Shrinkage and co-created the web series I’m a Fan in partnership with the Second City, YouTube Space LA, and The NFL.  His work has appeared in the Chicago Tribune, the Chicago Reader, and as a contributor for Owner’s Box, in partnership with the Onion.

He has performed sketch and improv at The Second City, Chicago Sketch Fest, The TBS Just For Laughs Festival, iO (formerly Improv Olympic), the Upright Citizens Brigade, and Rahm Emanuel's inauguration (sorry, guys).  His one-man show, So Very Important, was a Time Out Critics Pick and has been performed in both Chicago and Los Angeles.  Through the magic of television and the Internet he has sold coffee, air conditioning and hot wings to many fine folks.
